90 years ago, the brothers Steinar and Sigmund Helle built a forge and started producing knives on their family farm in Holmedal. When designing this year's limited edition knives, Jan Steffen and Svein-Erik Helle wanted to honor their grandparents by designing knives that retained the essence of their grandparents' design philosophy.
Jan Steffen's design features a 110 cm long and polished H3LS blade with a light false blade/swedge on the spine. The 107mm long handle has stacked red leather and curly birch inserts.
The scabbard, made with an original Helle print from the 1930s, is made in black with red stitching to honor the forge where Jan Steffen's grandfather was responsible for its operation.
