The extraordinary Boker M4 Sherman-Damascus is a piece of living history and combines high-quality craftsmanship with historic materials. The American M4 Sherman was designed back in 1940 and is still considered one of the most famous tanks in history. Produced from 1942 to 1945, it served until 1957 and was used on all battlefields of World War II - not only by the United States and Canada, but also by Great Britain, the Free French Forces, China and even the Soviet Union.

Originally developed to replace the M3 Grant/Lee medium tank, the Sherman tank's primary mission was to support infantry, conduct attacks, and reinforce defensive positions. The Sherman was built nearly 50,000 times and was the most widely used Allied tank during World War II. It was produced in countless mission-specific variations and was used during the Cold War.

Together with the Americans at the Virginia War Museum, we managed to preserve an important piece of lost history. The Sherman-Damascus Boker is equipped with a unique 80-ply Damascus blade, forged from various materials sourced from the production of M4 Sherman tanks that were previously restored by the museum. The unique Damascus was hand-forged for us by Chad Nichols in the Customized Ladder style and resembles tank tracks left in the ground by the heavy chains of an M4 Sherman. The ball-bearing mounted blade is opened with a flipper and locked by a solid steel framelock, while the Hinderer Lock-Stop acts as protection against overextension of the lock.

The overall shape of the knife is a nod to the aesthetic lines of the armor, while the decorative screw of the blade axis is modeled on the characteristic wheel of the main drive. The slightly contoured jute handle with micarta fits comfortably in the hand, and the color refers to the camouflage paint used by both the US Army and Marine Corps. With a leash hole and a practical, deep carrying clip (tip up/r). Handmade in the Boker knife factory in Solingen. Delivered with a noble floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.

A portion of the proceeds from each knife sold goes to Americans at the War Museum to support educational programs and the care and preservation of these proud examples of American history. Americans in the Wartime Museum is a nonprofit cultural and educational institution dedicated to honoring those who have served in all branches of the U.S. military and on the home front from World War I to the present. The museum serves to educate the public, especially young people, by telling individual stories of personal experiences, war realities and the sacrifices made by Americans in the fight to maintain freedom and freedom. The museum inspires visitors by allowing them to experience military vehicles, discover artifacts, and participate in reenactments and special programs in a dynamic, interactive environment.
