Responsible for search and rescue in the North and Baltic Seas - 24 hours a day and in all weather conditions. That's what sea rescuers do. No heroes, only professionals - so humble, yet their motto is to be strict with themselves.

Since its founding over 158 years ago, its official legal name has been the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS). The Federal Republic of Germany has entrusted this association with the sovereign task of maritime search and rescue in the North and Baltic Sea areas. Today, they guarantee one of the most modern and professional sea rescue services in the world. The primary goal is to quickly and effectively save human lives. To ensure this goal was free from external influences and other interests, sea rescuers focused on independence from the very beginning and consciously refrained from using public funds. Funding is based solely on voluntary donations. Saving human life at the risk of their own life is carried out mainly by volunteer sea rescuers.

In close cooperation with professionals from the offshore industry, we have developed the Boker Plus Seenotretter 01, which meets the high demands on the high seas. As a classic, sensible fishing knife, it is aimed at professional and private users in sea and inland waters or people who work a lot with ropes. It is made entirely of stainless steel. The main blade made of 1.4116 steel is equipped with a half-wave for cutting inlaid ropes and harnesses. Marlin spikes (for untying hardened knots) also include a shackle and bottle openers. Both blades are held in place by a durable and dirt-resistant slip joint. To ensure durability and reliability, solid dome pins are used instead of screws. The front scale is embossed with the Hanseatic cross, the famous logo of sea rescuers. Carrying is easier with the deep carry clip (tilt up/right). A spacious cable eyelet protects against loss.
