NITECORE has unveiled its 2023 end-of-year flagship, the EDC Flashlight EDC33. This launch introduces four breakthrough technologies: UHi 20 MAX LED, LUMIN SHIELD™, Rapid Lock™, and a 18650 4000mAh Li-ion battery, setting a new standard in the professional EDC flashlight industry with excellent performance and user convenience.
The UHi 20 MAX LED is a first of its kind in the portable lighting industry - an expertly crafted unit with a multi-core integrated design for excellent performance. Utilizing UHi Fusion packaging technology, it combines a small but very intense main core with 8 sub-cores arranged together into one LED, offering long throw range, extreme brightness and the flexibility to seamlessly switch between spotlight and floodlight. With Supreme White Color Consistency™ processing, it can emit a purer and softer white light.
The EDC33 is equipped with the first-ever LUMIN SHIELD™ technology. In any mode except full lock mode, users can press and hold the tactical tail button to activate LUMIN SHIELD™ for instant defense.
The EDC33 also introduces the innovative Rapid Lock™ technology, ushering in a new phase of fast, hassle-free operation. Users can instantly access full lock mode, half lock mode, and unlock the light by simply sliding the Rapid Lock™, all with a single switch. Full lock mode ensures no accidental activation during storage or everyday wear, while half lock mode allows users to activate SEARCH and LUMIN SHIELD™. Designed for intuitive operation, the ergonomic design and Rapid Lock™ layout have been adjusted to facilitate a quick response in emergency situations.
NITECORE takes a giant leap forward with its 4000mAh 18650 lithium-ion battery. Designed in collaboration with an industry partner, the EDC33 is built with a 4000mAh lithium-ion battery, offering a high capacity of 14.4Wh and an energy density of 300mWh/g. This capacity is equal to the energy delivered by four CR123A lithium-ion batteries, effectively doubling the reserve power so users won’t have to worry about battery life.
EDC33 also features a tactical search mode with a range of 450 meters. In this mode, its main core will emit a powerful 1700 lumen beam, capable of illuminating areas up to 450 meters away, with an intensity of 54,500 cd. This performance surpasses many flagship compact flashlights, providing users with the ability to recognize distant objects or potential threats. Tactical SEARCH mode can be easily activated, except for the full lock mode, increasing the speed of reaction in various unexpected situations.
The EDC33 is constructed from military-grade 7000 series aluminum (7075-T6), one of the strongest aluminum alloys available. It offers an 88% increase in hardness over the standard 6000 series used in conventional flashlights, providing exceptional durability and a solid construction. Combined with a 1mm deep textured finish, it also provides exceptional grip during use. Other features include a stainless steel head and tail, a military-grade HA III hard anodized finish, IP68 rating (submersible up to 2m), very high corrosion resistance and 2m impact resistance, making it a reliable companion even in the harshest environments.
Packed with features yet surprisingly lightweight, the EDC33 weighs just 127g (clip included), making it ideal for everyday pocket carry. It features a DCP (Deep Carry Pocket) clip with a large opening and high-quality 550 paracord, allowing users to easily stow the flashlight deep in their pocket while still allowing for quick access.
Additionally, the EDC33 is equipped with a sensor protection function, a rotating charging port protection cover, optical lenses with double-sided scratch-resistant coating and an ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation) module.
