Antenna approx. 75 cm when unfolded - for transport it can be bent (folded) into smaller pieces, thus saving space.

The set comes with a Velcro fabric that can be used to fasten the antenna for transport.

In the unfolded state, the antenna has a lot of supporters - this type of antennas works well for directional antennas , which we have to assemble to obtain a compact portable antenna - in the extended form carrying such antennas is simply inconvenient. b> This type of antennas is already available in an omnidirectional version , with a tendency to obtain a directional characteristic - greater ranges at longer distances! Electrically it is the equivalent of a 1/4 Lambda antenna on VHF - so the gain and characteristics are similar. Thanks to a thick radiator and an open design, the antenna works wide - with listening possibilities within the entire VHF and UHF bands (The frequencies range from 136 to 520 MHz - declared by the manufacturer and posted on the air). Good quality of the connector, coil, radiator and a solid protective rubber at the end of the antenna.

Antennas of this type are used in ARMY under the HARRIS brand - as OMNI-Directional knife-type antennas.

The antenna is made of metal strips (such as in measures of distance) and it can be bent at several points for transport. The antenna is covered with a rubberized protection, so there is no risk of injury.
