What's the difference between RTL-SDR V3 and V4?
V3 uses the R820T2 tuner, V4 has the newer R828D. V4 has a built-in HF converter (reception below 24 MHz without an upconverter), triple input filter, and improved power supply. V3 is the cheaper option with wide software compatibility — virtually every SDR app works with V3 out of the box.
Does RTL-SDR V3 support HF?
V3 can receive HF in direct sampling mode, but quality is limited. For serious reception below 24 MHz, V4 with its built-in HF converter or V3 with a separate upconverter is better. V3 natively works best in the 24 MHz - 1.74 GHz range.
What is the frequency range of RTL-SDR V3?
