On modern Kali Linux (kernel 6.15 or newer) the RTL8814AU driver is already built into the kernel as the rtw88_8814au module - the card works right away, monitor mode without installing anything.
You can also install drivers from GitHub, in our tests the best ones were: https://github.com/morrownr/8814au
