Network cards

USB WiFi adapters for pentesting - monitor mode, packet injection, full support for Aircrack-ng, Wireshark, and Bettercap. In this category you'll find Alfa Network hardware tested under Kali Linux 2026, Parrot OS, and BlackArch. Every adapter has confirmed monitor mode support on current kernels.

How to pick the right card for your use case?

Classic WiFi 5 pentesting (RTL8812AU) - Alfa AWUS036ACHM is the bestseller and the safest start. Works out-of-the-box since kernel 6.14, 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. If you're just starting, grab the ACHM.

Longest range - Alfa AWUS036ACH-C. RTL8812AU chipset with USB-C, requires installing the rtl8812au-dkms driver, but outperforms everything else in the catalog in the field.

Largest buffer and throughput - Alfa AWUS1900 (RTL8814AU, 4 dual-band antennas). Not the longest range, but buffer and stability under heavy traffic - yes. Great for long capture sessions.

WiFi 6/6E (802.11ax) - Alfa AWUS036AXM and AWUS036AXML. MT7921AU chipset, 6 GHz band support (AXML). Driver is younger, kernel ≥6.8 required. For auditing modern routers.

USB-C without adapters - AWUS036ACH-C or AWUS036AXML have built-in USB-C.

Windows / macOS

Monitor mode and packet injection only work on Linux. On Windows the card is a regular WiFi adapter. Solution: Kali VM or dual boot.

Bundled antennas are dual-band and detachable (RP-SMA) - for longer range, connect a panel or yagi antenna from the Antennas category. For continuous network monitoring - bundle with Pwnagotchi.
