The O.MG cable looks like an ordinary USB cable, but it is not. Invisibly hidden in the cable is a USB exploit structure that allows remote HID attacks via local or remote triggering of customised payloads.

While asleep, the O.MG cable works like a normal USB cable: data transfer, charging, etc. However, when triggered (via smartphone/computer/connection) - it performs a programmed load on the host device.

Emulating keyboard and mouse actions, the loads are fully customisable and can be highly targeted.

Instructions:

1. Programming.

Programming of the cable is carried out in two ways: via WiFi or via a special device allowing advanced programming.

2. Operation.

The device is 'deployed' when connected to the target machine.

It will act like a standard USB cable, allowing data transfer and power transfer. It is able to remain so indefinitely until it is deployed.

3 Attack.

The device is launched wirelessly via WiFi. It can be launched using a smartphone or a dedicated remote control. Attack works on the USB Type A side.
