Created over thousands of years, shaped by the immense power of water: long ago, in ancient Egypt, alluvial soils were considered an auspicious blessing for bountiful harvests. Sediment erosion has created extremely nutrient-rich young soils along coasts, rivers or lakes, which Justin Lundquist describes as the source of his idea for the impressive Boker Plus Alluvial. The nature-loving knife designer from the USA has been fascinated by knives since the age of four, and since 2013 he has been successfully implementing his own projects. Flooded with inspiration in this first collaborative project with Boker, he suspends the laws of nature by bringing new life to the world of automatic knives with the slim Gentleman Folder. The D2 clip-point blade has a discreet satin finish and is opened and unlocked with the push of a button. The button and screw of the blade axis are embedded in the black aluminum handle, giving the thumb an extra grip during use. The reinforced alluvial base is cited by the front, mostly smooth, part of the grip, while the fine texture at the back of the grip collects incoming sediment. The tip-up clamp (r) allows for deep wear and emphasizes the earthy nature of the Auto Knife.
