The card on offer is based on the Realtek RTL8811AU chipset - it supports the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. This chipset offers high sensitivity (18dBi), so even weak or distant signals are received with adequate speed and stability. The card has an RP-SMA antenna connector, which lets you attach a directional or omnidirectional antenna.
The card supports monitor mode.

The AWUS036ACS is able to receive and transmit in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. With 802.11ac routers it can reach throughput of up to 433 Mb/s. This card is backward-compatible with 802.11g and 802.11n networks. To achieve maximum throughput, an 802.11ac router is required.

This product is compatible with the dual-band Alfa APA-M25 panel antenna. Your 802.11ac router will work optimally when all computers use the AC standard, so this is a very cheap way to upgrade all your devices.

Drivers on Kali Linux: on modern Kali (kernel 6.14 or newer) the RTL8811AU driver is already built into the kernel as the rtw88_8821au module - the card works out of the box, monitor mode without installing anything. If you use an older system or the card doesn't enter monitor mode, build the latest driver from source: github.com/lwfinger/rtw88
