WIFI PINEAPPLE MARK VII

Hak5 WiFi Pineapple Mark VII is a wireless auditing platform managed through a browser. Review discovered networks and clients, set filters and inspect session results in one interface. It suits training labs and laptop-based audits where a clear view of the WiFi environment helps guide the next test.

Recon and PineAP

Recon displays access points and their associated clients. PineAP lets you build controlled test scenarios, including checks of how clients connect to a network. SSID and MAC filters help keep tests within their agreed scope. The OpenWrt-based system supports add-on modules and custom scripts.

Mark VII Basic hardware

• 2.4 GHz WiFi, 802.11 b/g/n, with three antennas.
• 256 MB RAM and 2 GB eMMC storage.
• USB-C power and a USB 2.0 expansion port.
• Browser management and Hak5 Cloud C² support.

Power it from a suitable USB supply or power bank. A computer provides a convenient way to use the interface; it is not the only possible power source.

Adding 5 GHz

The Basic model needs a compatible USB WiFi adapter for 5 GHz operation. Hak5 lists MT7612U-based adapters, including the ALFA AWUS036ACM. The adapter is sold separately. The former Tactical + AC bundle included an AC adapter; that accessory is not included with Basic.

Versions and bundle photographs

Mark VII Basic is the model described above.

Tactical + AC is the discontinued Mark VII bundle with a 5 GHz adapter. The photograph shows that bundle.

Enterprise Basic is a different platform: four dual-band 2.4/5 GHz radios, eight antennas, a quad-core ARM processor, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB eMMC and Gigabit Ethernet.

Mark VII or Pager?

Choose Mark VII for browser-based work and Cloud C² integration. The WiFi Pineapple Pager adds its own screen, battery and 2.4/5/6 GHz support. Its interface and extension model differ from Mark VII.
