RTL-SDR V3 (USB-C) - key information
RTL-SDR Blog software defined radio receiver (model V3C): RTL2832U converter, R860 (R820T2) tuner, 1PPM TCXO oscillator, SMA connector. This is the official successor to the USB Type-A version - the same receiver circuit design, new USB-C input.
Get to know its key features
- Tuner R860 (R820T2)
- Operating range: 24-1766 MHz, in direct sampling mode (HF): from 500 kHz, with a built-in 25 MHz low-pass filter
- Bandwidth: up to 3.2 MHz instantaneous (2.4 MHz stable)
- ADC resolution: 8 bits
- 1 PPM temperature compensated oscillator (TCXO)
- SMA-F antenna connector (SMA female)
- Connector: USB Type-C
- Aluminium enclosure with a thermal pad - passive cooling, better L-band performance
- Software-switchable 4.5 V bias tee circuit - powering LNAs and active antennas
- Enhanced ESD protection (additional diode and discharge paths)
- USB line choke, extra capacitors and ferrites - lower overall receiver noise
- Front end optimized for wideband use
- Breakout pads on the PCB for advanced users
Applications
Radio band scanning, air traffic control, ADS-B, AIS, ACARS, VDL2, trunked radio, P25/DMR digital voice, TETRA, POCSAG, APRS, weather balloons, NOAA APT and METEOR M2 weather satellites, Inmarsat, Iridium, radio astronomy, DAB, and use as a low-cost panadapter for a classic transceiver.
Software and compatibility
Works with free software: SDR#, HDSDR, SDR-Radio, Linrad, GQRX and SDR Touch on Android. Systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, as well as single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi. The device requires a USB 2.0 port (it also works on most USB 3.0 ports).
What's included in the set?
The set includes 1 pc of the RTL-SDR Blog V3 (USB-C) receiver. Antennas are not included - we recommend purchasing dedicated antennas to complete the kit.
An original RTL-SDR Blog V3 product, from the official RTL-SDR distribution for Poland. SAPSAN is an official RTL-SDR partner.
