    Description

The RTL-SDR Blog V3 in its new version with a USB Type-C connector - the same proven SDR receiver that has been earning excellent user reviews for years, now with a modern input instead of USB Type-A. A wide reception range, a stable TCXO oscillator and a metal enclosure make it an ideal choice for both professionals and hobbyists interested in radio, scanning or experimenting with radio waves. If you have any questions, we're here to help - get in touch and we'll gladly suggest the best solutions.

    RTL-SDR V3 (USB-C) - key information

RTL-SDR Blog software defined radio receiver (model V3C): RTL2832U converter, R860 (R820T2) tuner, 1PPM TCXO oscillator, SMA connector. This is the official successor to the USB Type-A version - the same receiver circuit design, new USB-C input.

Get to know its key features

    • Tuner R860 (R820T2)
    • Operating range: 24-1766 MHz, in direct sampling mode (HF): from 500 kHz, with a built-in 25 MHz low-pass filter
    • Bandwidth: up to 3.2 MHz instantaneous (2.4 MHz stable)
    • ADC resolution: 8 bits
    • 1 PPM temperature compensated oscillator (TCXO)
    • SMA-F antenna connector (SMA female)
    • Connector: USB Type-C
    • Aluminium enclosure with a thermal pad - passive cooling, better L-band performance
    • Software-switchable 4.5 V bias tee circuit - powering LNAs and active antennas
    • Enhanced ESD protection (additional diode and discharge paths)
    • USB line choke, extra capacitors and ferrites - lower overall receiver noise
    • Front end optimized for wideband use
    • Breakout pads on the PCB for advanced users

    Applications

Radio band scanning, air traffic control, ADS-B, AIS, ACARS, VDL2, trunked radio, P25/DMR digital voice, TETRA, POCSAG, APRS, weather balloons, NOAA APT and METEOR M2 weather satellites, Inmarsat, Iridium, radio astronomy, DAB, and use as a low-cost panadapter for a classic transceiver.

    Software and compatibility

Works with free software: SDR#, HDSDR, SDR-Radio, Linrad, GQRX and SDR Touch on Android. Systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, as well as single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi. The device requires a USB 2.0 port (it also works on most USB 3.0 ports).

    What's included in the set?

The set includes 1 pc of the RTL-SDR Blog V3 (USB-C) receiver. Antennas are not included - we recommend purchasing dedicated antennas to complete the kit.

An original RTL-SDR Blog V3 product, from the official RTL-SDR distribution for Poland. SAPSAN is an official RTL-SDR partner.

V3 natywnie najlepiej radzi sobie w paśmie 24 MHz - 1,74 GHz.

Jakie jest pasmo częstotliwości RTL-SDR V3?

24 MHz do 1,74 GHz (z direct sampling możliwy ograniczony odbiór poniżej 24 MHz). Pokrywa VHF i UHF — lotnictwo (ADS-B), radio FM, służby ratunkowe, stacje meteorologiczne NOAA, śledzenie statków AIS, radiosondaże i wiele więcej.

Czy RTL-SDR V3 nadaje się na początek?

Tak — V3 to jeden z najlepszych wyborów dla początkujących. Szeroka kompatybilność z oprogramowaniem (SDR#, GQRX, CubicSDR, SDR++), mnóstwo tutoriali w internecie, niska cena i oscylator TCXO 1 PPM. Jeśli dopiero zaczynasz przygodę z SDR — V3 jest bezpiecznym wyborem.

Jaką antenę kupić do RTL-SDR V3?

Do startu polecamy zestaw anten dipola RTL-SDR z teleskopowymi ramionami — uniwersalny i pokrywa szerokie pasmo. Do ADS-B dedykowana antena 1090 MHz. Złącze SMA — takie samo jak w V4. Zestawy anten dostępne w sklepie SAPSAN.

Czy warto kupić V3 czy lepiej od razu V4?

Jeśli zależy Ci na HF (krótkie fale) i najnowszych ulepszeniach — weź V4. Jeśli chcesz tańszą opcję z pełną kompatybilnością z oprogramowaniem i głównie interesujesz się VHF/UHF (lotnictwo, FM, ADS-B) — V3 w zupełności wystarczy. Oba mają TCXO i bias tee.
