GNU Radio SoapySDR SDRange SDR Console SDR# (SDR Sharp) MathWorks MATLAB®

This makes HackRF Pro suitable for both professional projects and home experiments with software-defined radio.

    What's in the box

HackRF Pro comes in its enclosure, with no accessories - according to the manufacturer's specification, a USB cable and an antenna are not included. As a starter antenna the manufacturer recommends the ANT500 telescopic antenna (75 MHz - 1 GHz), available separately in our store.

HackRF Pro vs HackRF One - Know the Differences

If you already know HackRF One, you know what a powerful SDR tool it can be. HackRF Pro is a new, enhanced version that retains the advantages of its predecessor while offering a wider frequency range, higher sampling precision, and modern hardware architecture.

    HackRF One

    Frequency Range 1 MHz - 6 GHz
    Sample Resolution 8-bit I/Q
    Clock Stability No TCXO
    Architecture Classic SDR board
Application Basic tests and SDR learning

    HackRF Pro

    Frequency Range 100 kHz - 6 GHz
    Sample Resolution 8-bit I/Q, Precision 16-bit
    Clock Stability Built-in TCXO
Architecture FPGA, more RAM, better shielding
    Application Advanced RF tests, GPS/BT/RFID

Expanded SDR Capabilities with HackRF Pro

HackRF Pro is the next generation of the popular SDR, designed as a more precise platform for radio signal research. Compared to the earlier HackRF One, it offers not only an extended frequency range from 100 kHz but also an improved architecture based on FPGA, a stable TCXO, and operating modes that increase sampling accuracy. This makes HackRF Pro suitable for both typical SDR tasks—such as band listening, RF device prototyping, or satellite system analysis—and advanced experiments, such as mobile network research, Bluetooth/BLE analysis, or RFID diagnostics from LF to UHF.

    Frequently asked questions

Didn't find your answer? Write to us - we also help after your purchase.

    What is HackRF Pro?

HackRF Pro is an open-source software-defined radio (SDR) transceiver from Great Scott Gadgets that can receive or transmit signals from 100 kHz to 6 GHz. It is half-duplex, which means it can receive or transmit, but not both at the same time. SAPSAN is an authorized Great Scott Gadgets reseller.

    What can HackRF Pro do?

It lets you analyze the radio spectrum, receive, decode, and generate radio signals, and research your own wireless systems. Typical applications include remote controls, ADS-B, satellite communications, and radio protocols. Transmitting must comply with local law and be limited to systems you are authorized to test.

How is HackRF Pro different from HackRF One?

HackRF Pro lowers the operating range from 1 MHz to 100 kHz and adds USB-C, a built-in TCXO, FPGA logic, RF shielding, improved input protection, elimination of the DC spike, and a 16-bit extended-precision mode at lower sample rates.

Is HackRF Pro compatible with PortaPack?

Yes. The manufacturer has tested PortaPack H4M and the original PortaPack H1, and HackRF Pro was designed for compatibility with most PortaPacks. However, Great Scott Gadgets cannot guarantee every third-party clone or enclosure.

Are an antenna and USB-C cable included? Which antenna should I choose?

No. Neither an antenna nor a USB cable is included. Great Scott Gadgets recommends ANT500 as a starter antenna, but the antenna should match the band you want to use because no single antenna performs equally well across the entire 100 kHz-6 GHz range.

Does software for HackRF One work with HackRF Pro?

Yes. HackRF Pro is backward compatible with software for HackRF One, including GNU Radio, SDR#, and other applications that support HackRF.
