    Description

The Maltronics WiFi Detector is a visual indicator for management-frame activity on 2.4 GHz WiFi. Connect it to USB-A power and it starts monitoring nearby traffic. It suits a test bench or investigations into repeated device disconnections.

    What do the colours mean?

Two RGB LEDs illuminate the case. Green means waiting; red indicates a sustained stream of management frames. This is a prompt to investigate the event: the colour alone does not identify its cause or source.

    Connect and observe

    • Operates on the 2.4 GHz band.
    • Powered by a USB-A port, USB supply or power bank.
    • Two RGB indicator LEDs.
    • No app installation or network configuration required.

Detector works as a sensor, observing traffic and signalling events. In a lab, pair it with a Maltronics WiFi Tester to compare its indication against a known test sequence.

Detection coverage depends on local radio conditions and device placement.
